Northside Kids Team

The Northside Kids Team serves to build a spiritual foundation for children to understand God's love. We desire for children to know and understand how to have a relationship with Jesus. Leaders do this through their example, love, teaching, and activities each Sunday.

There are opportunities to serve in nursery/toddlers one Sunday a month or with our preschool- and elementary-aged children two Sundays a month. First service arrival is 8:45 a.m. and second service arrival is 10:30 a.m. Volunteers at the second service are asked to help clean up the classrooms and have them ready for use during the week. 

Volunteer Roles:

• Nursery Leader: Greets families and babies as they arrive and cares for little ones while their families are in worship. Will care for infants through 2-year-olds. Smiling, singing, and changing diapers comes with the job.
• Toddler Leader: Greets families and toddlers as they arrive and cares for little ones while their families are in worship. Will care for 2-to-3-year-olds. Diaper changing and helping with potty training comes with the job. This is the youngest class with curriculum. Leaders set the foundation for learning about God and experiencing Bible stories through active play and crafts.
• Preschool Leader: Greets families and preschoolers as they arrive, teaches children with provided curriculum two Sundays a month, participates in children's worship, utilizes video Bible lesson, and implements 3–4 activities with the children to reinforce biblical learning.
• Elementary Leader: Greets families and children as they arrive, teaches children with provided curriculum two Sundays a month, participates in children's worship, utilizes video Bible lesson, and implements 3–4 activities with the children to reinforce biblical learning.
• Substitute: Is ready to lead and fill in for leaders with planned travel or unexpected sickness. This leader can either be prepared to lead any age or request to fill in with a specific age group.
• Special Needs Buddy: Partners to be a buddy for a child with special needs. A buddy helps the child participate and learn in small groups, recognizes when a break is needed, and works with parents and small group leaders to ensure the best learning environment.  

Open Spots:

• 9 AM service: 1 toddler leader
• 9 AM service: 2 preschool leaders
• 10:45 AM service: 1 nursery leader
