THIS WEEK

AT NORTHSIDE

Pentecost

Sunday, May 24th

On Pentecost Sunday, we wear red. (Selfishly, it's my favorite Sunday of the year seeing so many people wearing red!) This tradition at Northside (and in the larger Church) dates back many years. What Christmas is in giving us the birth of Christ and Easter is in giving us the resurrected Jesus, Pentecost is celebrated as the giving of the Holy Spirit to The Church.

We hope you’ll join us this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:45 am (be sure to wear red) as we celebrate the giving of the Holy Spirit to us!

WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS MONTH

Resurrection. Easter is the end of sins hold on mankind. Through the sacrifice at the cross, the death burial and resurrection, those that depend on Jesus have the promise of resurrection.

This May, we will go line by line in the Gospels, exploring the necessity, the prophecy, and the hope that is contained in the Easter story.
