Serve

Ready to serve?

At Northside, there are numerous ways you can roll your sleeves up, serve others and build relationships in the process. Two of our Northside values are compassion and engagement, and we put those into practice through a variety of regular ways to serve, as well as popup-type service opportunities. Please note that COVID-19 has impacted the frequency of these activities.

Here are some ways to get started:

  • Volunteer at the Raleigh Rescue Mission and Raleigh Dream Center
  • Adopt-a-Highway: clean up First Avenue in Knightdale
  • Northside Compassion Project: serve in a group and do maintenance on the Compassion Home, minister to the families in the Compassion Home, collect and distribute food, and more
  • Reed and Feed: serve as a reading mentor to an Elementary student for this weekly program that meets during the school year
  • Rise Against Hunger: help at an annual food packing event at Northside
  • Operation Christmas Child: pack a shoebox (or two) to bless a child in need during Christmas
